What's with the name Adirondack?
We get this question a lot—especially here in sunny Largo, Florida. "Adirondack Services" sounds more like a mountain guide company than a trusted local HVAC provider.
But there’s a story behind it.
Our founder, Adam Hansen, started this company decades ago in the heart of the Southern Adirondack Mountains of New York, where the winters are cold and the furnaces work overtime. That’s where Adam learned the value of craftsmanship, dependability, and keeping homes comfortable no matter the weather. When he and his family relocated to Florida, he brought the company—and its mountain-forged values—with him.
So, while the Adirondack name may feel out of place in the Sunshine State, it’s a proud reminder of our roots. Yes, it’s a mouthful. (And we’ve seen it spelled every which way!) But to us, it stands for something: rugged reliability, a commitment to comfort, and decades of experience you can trust.
